After School Clubs
Ages 5+
Round 1 runs September 14 – December 4. A season to go deeper into one craft, skill, or corner of the farm — and a new round to try something else in the winter and spring. Each club lists its own meeting dates and fee below.
How clubs work
Round 1 runs September 14 through December 4, starting after the first week of school.
Round 1 clubs
September 14 – December 4. Enrollment is open now.
Wild Warriors Club
A hands-on outdoor club focused on bushcraft, wilderness skills, and outdoor adventure. Children learn practical skills for spending time confidently and safely in the woods through shelter building, fire and camp skills, navigation, tool use, and other age-appropriate survival skills.
Nature Art Club
We'll explore the changing seasons through process-based art inspired by the natural world around us. Children experiment with seasonal materials and discover new ways to create — from fall leaf prints and winter snow sculptures to spring flower art, clay, and watercolor. Each season brings new opportunities to play, explore, experiment, and let nature inspire their creativity.
Just Add Water Club
A playful, hands-on exploration of water through science, art, sensory play, building, and outdoor activities. Projects may include building boats and mini rafts, PVC water runs, sink-or-float experiments, ice excavation and painting, water relays, sprinklers and slip-and-slide play, bubbles, sensory tables, and other creative water experiments.
Livestock Club
Spend extended time working directly with Wildwood's livestock while learning the basics of animal husbandry and responsible animal care. Children gain hands-on experience with cows, chickens, goats, and bunnies — feeding, handling, grooming, health, and care routines — and the responsibilities involved in raising livestock. As the season progresses, there may also be opportunities to learn about and participate in showing animals.
Livestock Club runs for two hours each week, so tuition is higher than our other clubs.
Fiber Arts Club
We begin the year learning basic hand-sewing stitches using the slow-stitch method to explore and learn. Once those stitches are proficient, we move on to a hand-sewn tie-on pocket to hold treasures. Each child works and learns at their own speed with tools and materials appropriate for their skill level and abilities. All supplies are included and will be age appropriate.
Horseback riding
Weekly one-hour riding blocks are offered Monday through Thursday afternoons, year-round. Riding has its own page with full details and scheduling.
In the works
Two more clubs are taking shape. Tell us if your child would be interested and we will keep you posted.
Dungeons & Dragons Club
A kid-friendly tabletop role-playing club centered around storytelling, imagination, teamwork, problem-solving, and collaborative adventure. Children create characters and work together through an ongoing fantasy story guided by a game leader.
Woodworking Club
A hands-on introduction to woodworking where children learn to safely use age-appropriate tools, work with natural materials, practice measuring and building skills, and create functional or creative projects of their own.
Not sure which club fits
Tell us a little about your child and we will point you at the right one. We would rather talk it through than have them sit twelve weeks in the wrong club.
