Day program: 8:30-3:00 daily (after-hour programs are available)

Semester 1: September 16 - January 30
Semester 2: February 17 - June 19

For families who are homeschooling and juggling the learning curve of becoming an educator, or simply working part-time, our program offers breathing room for your schedule: a wholesome, outdoor exploratory experience and a close-knit community atmosphere that help families truly thrive!

The foundation of Wildwood Acres Farm and Forest School was built as a supplementary homeschool program for families seeking socialization and extra programming one to three days per week. We are happy to say that we will continue to offer our nature-based homeschool supplemental day program for ages 3+. This program teaches children to connect with nature, challenge their endurance, solve real-world problems, work in a team, respect all life, and learn responsibility.

We believe that relating to all people, animals, wildlife, trees, and the natural environment helps children to understand that they are just a small part of the ecosystem and are responsible for leaving the world as they found it. Through play-based learning, natural discovery, and creative thinking, our hope is that Wildwood students will develop a greater love of nature, responsibility for the planet, and respect for all people, living creatures, plant life, and water sources.

Experiential learning activities range from planting and growing their own food, churning their own dairy snacks, taking care of animals, foraging in the woods, and experiencing the natural world around them in a prism of ways. And let’s not forget simple childhood joys like crafts, building fires, sledding, and having snowball fights in the winter!

Enrollment is per semester, each 16 weeks long, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Families may choose the number of days per week they would like their child to attend based on what fits their needs.

Ages:

  • 3-4 Ducklings (Pre-School)

  • 5-7 Bobcats

  • 8-10 Foxes

  • 11-13 Coyotes **will take on leadership roles within the age groups

  • 14-17 Wolves** will develop personal interests, establish mastery in cornerstones, and connect with internships within the community.

While age groups do co-mingle amongst activities, students are challenged in different age-appropriate ways.
