Meet the Performers

Mistress Allyson of The Gilded Cauldron

Medieval Cook & Historical Interpreter

Step into the daily life of a medieval village at Mistress Allyson’s campfire.

Dressed in traditional clothing and working as a woman of the era would have, she cooks over an open fire preparing foods using authentic medieval methods. Throughout the day, she lives and works in her space: cooking, washing, sewing, and tending to simple crafts, offering a window into everyday life centuries ago.

A member of the Brotherhood of the Arrow and Sword and founder of The Gilded Cauldron, she has spent over 14 years bringing medieval history to life at Renaissance faires and educational events.

Visitors are invited to gather at her camp, ask questions, and learn:

  • What foods were available in medieval times

  • How cooking worked without modern ingredients or tools

  • What daily life looked like for a working woman of the era

She is also the author of The ReEnactor’s Cookbook, a well-loved medieval cookbook that has sold thousands of copies, and will be available for sale.

Hampden County Hexenbrut

A troupe of wandering witches bringing magic to life through movement and dance, with performances throughout the day. Their mission is simple: to spread peace, joy, and a little bit of magic wherever they go!

The Jester

A note from the Jester: I hail from an ancient lineage of jesters. My father was a jester, and his father before him, and his father’s father likewise bore the cap and bells.  Mine own name is Giggledorf-Vermuxxen- Anderson- Toadsworth-Swithforth the Fifteenth; yet I bid thee to call by my middle name, Craig.

Our families solemn charge hath been to sustain merriment of the people and aye, the king himself. My earliest memory, as but a wee lad, was of mine own mother tossing me aloft in her juggling, alongside my identical brethren. In truth, the great length of my name cometh from this very act, for she did juggle us so fervently that she lost all reckoning of which child was which.

I bring forth manifold entertainments: juggling, feats of acrobatics, musical revelry, jest and jokes, and the bestowal of curious trinkets. For one-and-twenty years I have trained under my father,  Giggledorf-Vermuxxen- Anderson- Toadsworth-Swithforth the Fourteenth in preparation for this most noble feat. With glad heart, I look forward to sustaining the merriment of the all who gather!

JenniFire – Dragon Whisperer & Keeper of Lost Hatchlings

JenniFire is known across scattered kingdoms as a quiet but persistent traveler, devoted to the care and protection of lost dragonkind. She wanders from village to village following rumors, old lore, and faint traces of magic in search of misplaced eggs, abandoned hatchlings, and creatures too small or shy to survive on their own.

Over time, she has become something of a bridge between worlds—trusted by dragons and welcomed by those who believe in them. The small companions she carries are not merely curiosities, but rescued hatchlings in her care, each with their own temperament and story.

JenniFire also believes that the future of dragonkind depends not just on her, but on others willing to understand and protect them. Along her travels, she quietly seeks out kind-hearted individuals—especially the brave and curious—who may one day become guardians themselves.

As a token of her travels and the connections she forms, she often shares small trinkets and keepsakes—simple objects imbued with meaning, meant to remind their holders that magic, once found, is never truly lost.

Sir Bumblestark – Keeper of the Dragon Bridge

Sir Bumblestark is a seasoned adventurer and sworn keeper of the Dragon Bridge, a narrow crossing said to stand between the realms of men and dragonkind. For years, he has guarded its path, facing down those who would cross without honor and guiding those brave enough to prove their worth.

Hardened by travel, battle, and countless trials, Bumblestark carries both the discipline of a knight and the grit of a wanderer. His blade has seen its share of conflict, but he values skill, courage, and heart above all else.

At the faire, Sir Bumblestark offers travelers a chance to test their mettle. With practice weapons in hand, he challenges willing participants to friendly bouts of combat—an opportunity to prove one’s strength, earn the respect of a warrior, and perhaps take a step closer to claiming the mantle of a true adventurer.

For in Bumblestark’s eyes, a warrior is not measured by victory alone, but by the courage to step forward, stand their ground, and fight with honor.
